Professor Eun Ha Choi is Emeritus Professor and Director of the Plasma Bioscience Research Center (PBRC), and University Key Research Institute at Kwangwoon University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He received his B.S. from Seoul National University and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Plasma Physics from KAIST. He has also held research and academic positions at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (USA), Hampton University/NASA (USA), KRISS (Korea), and Texas Tech University (USA). A visionary leader, Prof. Choi founded four major research centers at Kwangwoon University: the Plasma Display Panel Research Center, Plasma Bioscience Research Center (PBRC), Applied Plasma Medicine Center (APMC), and the University Key Research Institute (PBRC).

With over 40 years of research experience, Prof. Choi is a pioneer in Plasma Bioscience and Plasma Medicine, making significant contributions to plasma medicine, biomaterials, environmental engineering, agriculture, and advanced plasma technologies. His research has led to important advances in cancer therapy, wound healing, sterilization, immunomodulation, and sustainable environmental applications.

Prof. Choi has authored more than 700 scientific publications, holds numerous patents, and has received many prestigious honors, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Society for Plasma Medicine (2016). He has been continuously recognized among the World's Top 2% Scientists by Elsevier and Stanford University since 2020.
