Biography
Dr. Roshani Dahal is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea. She received her Ph.D. in Plasma Physics from Kwangwoon University, Seoul, South Korea, in February 2026, and her Master's degree in Plasma Physics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Her research focuses on non-thermal plasma science and its interdisciplinary applications, particularly plasma-liquid interactions, plasma catalysis, plasma diagnostics, nanobubble technology, and plasma-assisted environmental remediation. Her research has contributed to the development of plasma-based technologies for wastewater treatment, degradation of emerging contaminants and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), plasma agriculture, catalyst synthesis, and advanced oxidation processes. She has extensive experience in the design and optimization of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma systems, and plasma jets. Dr. Dahal has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, including Chemical Engineering Journal, Chemosphere, Journal of Environmental Management, Process Safety and Environmental Protection, Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, Food Control, and Separation and Purification Technology. She actively serves as a reviewer for international scientific journals and is a member of the Nepal Physical Society (NPS), the Plasma Science Society of Nepal (PSSN), and the Plasma Science Society of India (PSSI).
