Biography
Assoc. Prof. Le Manh Cuong, MD, PhD — Senior Doctor Assoc. Prof. Le Manh Cuong has served since April 2022 as Director of Tue Tinh Hospital, the teaching hospital of the Vietnam University of Traditional Medicine, concurrently holding the position of Vice President of the Vietnam University of Traditional Medicine. A colorectal surgeon by training, he earned his MSc in General Surgery from Hanoi Medical University and his PhD in Gastrointestinal Surgery from the Vietnam Military Medical Academy, and previously served as Head of Surgery and later Deputy Director at the National Hospital of Traditional Medicine. He is Vice President of the Vietnam Society of Coloproctology and has completed advanced clinical training in Italy, the United States, Germany and France, including Doppler-guided transanal hemorrhoidal dearterialization, anorectal manometry and biofeedback therapy, and the Secca procedure for faecal incontinence. His institutional work centres on building a hospital model in which traditional and modern medicine operate as an integrated practice rather than as separate systems, and under his direction Tue Tinh Hospital has undertaken the first clinical applications of cold atmospheric plasma in Vietnam, across osteoarthritis, post-operative wound healing, chronic diabetic foot ulcers, and dermatology.
