Biography
Dr. Sekar Ashokkumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bio-Nano Technology at Gachon University, Republic of Korea. He received his Ph.D. in Marine Biotechnology from Annamalai University, India. His research focuses on nonthermal plasma-based pathogen inactivation, microbiology, virology, aquaculture disease management, microbial fermentation, marine biotechnology, bioactive compounds, and nanobiotechnology. He has contributed to the development of sustainable plasma and nano-enabled antimicrobial technologies for biomedical, agricultural, and aquaculture applications. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and several book chapters. His current research explores plasma medicine, functional nanomaterials, and advanced strategies for microbial control and disease prevention.
