Biography
XinPei Lu is currently a Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is a Distinguished Professor of the Changjiang Scholars Program and a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China. His research has focused on atmospheric-pressure plasma jets (APPJs) and their biomedical applications. Professor Lu developed the world’s first battery-powered handheld air plasma device. His achievements have been highlighted by prestigious scientific organizations and media outlets, including Nature, Science, the American Physical Society, the Institute of Physics (UK), and China Science Daily. He has published more than 200 journal papers, with over 21,000 Google Scholar citations and an H-index of 70. He has delivered more than 50 plenary or invited talks at international conferences and was invited five times to teach minicourses at international meetings. Since 2014, he has been continuously recognized as an Elsevier Highly Cited Researcher in China. He also holds about 20 authorized invention patents and received the First Prize of the Hubei Provincial Natural Science Award as the first contributor.
