Dr.Pradoong Suanpoot is an Assistant Professor of Physics at Maejo University, Phrae Campus, in northern Thailand. He teaches undergraduate courses in basic physics and conducts research in plasma science and engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Plasma Engineering from Kyushu University, Japan, in 2002.
His research focuses on low-temperature plasma applications, including plasma treatment for modifying textile properties (hydrophobicity and hydrophilicity), sterilization of medical equipment, and plasma technologies for agriculture and food, such as enhancing seed germination and improving food safety. He also has expertise in plasma diagnostics, with a strong interest in advancing non-thermal plasma applications for sustainable technologies.
Prof.Suanpoot has contributed to international collaborations and academic exchanges in plasma research, aiming to bridge fundamental plasma science with practical applications in industry, medicine, and agriculture.
