Professor Hiromasa Tanaka is a Professor at the Center for Low-temperature Plasma Sciences, Nagoya University, Japan, and an internationally recognized expert in low-temperature plasma science and plasma medicine. His research focuses on plasma–biological interactions, plasma chemistry, plasma-based biomedical applications, and innovative plasma technologies for healthcare and life sciences.

Prof. Tanaka received extensive international research training through postdoctoral appointments at the University of California, Irvine (USA), the University of Toronto (Canada), and the Plasma Nanotechnology Research Center, Nagoya University. He joined Nagoya University as an Assistant Professor in 2014, was promoted to Associate Professor in 2017, and has served as Professor at the Center for Low-temperature Plasma Sciences since 2019.

He has made significant contributions to the understanding of plasma interactions with biological systems and has published extensively in leading international journals. As a renowned researcher and invited speaker, Prof. Tanaka continues to advance the fields of plasma medicine, plasma biology, and interdisciplinary plasma science through innovative research and global collaborations.
