Biography
Jun-Seok Oh received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Kwangwoon University, Seoul, Korea, in 2001 and 2003, respectively. He joined the International Doctoral Program in Engineering in Japan in October 2003 and received his Ph.D. from Kyoto University in Kyoto, Japan, in November 2006. He conducted his early research at Kochi University of Technology, Tohoku University, Liverpool University, and Meijo University before joining the Graduate School of Engineering at Osaka City University as an associate professor in 2018. He became a full professor at Osaka City University in 2021. He is currently a full professor at the Department of Physics and Electronics, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka Metropolitan University, which was merged with Osaka City University and Osaka Prefectural University in 2022. His current research interests include developing new atmospheric-pressure plasma technology using optical and electrical plasma diagnostic techniques. Recently, he has become interested in plasma biomedical applications. He is a member of the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) and the Institute of Physics (IOP), UK.
